Our Mission: To impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

The First Tee’s programs are designed around teaching young people life skills through the game of golf. Our coaches help them understand and develop The First Tee Nine Core Values.  Each lesson is designed to be fun, interactive and engaging.  Our coaches follow a philosophy centered around positively reinforcing your child’s actions and ensuring a great experience.  The First Tee coaches seamlessly weave golf and character building activities into each lesson.  As your child progresses through The First Tee’s programs, the activities and life lessons become more involved, helping your child build character and become even more equipped to make good choices on and off the golf course
The First Tee of Nassau County, based at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, was the second official facility of The First Tee of Metropolitan New York founded in 2002.  Working in partnership with ABC123 Golf Academy under the direction of Mike Wade PGA, the facility has blossomed into one of the most successful in the United States with well over 1,000 participating each year.  Through a long-term usage agreement with the Nassau County Parks Department that also provides access at several other golf facilities and parks, The First Tee of Nassau County is well positioned for future growth and development. One of Mike’s former students and first Eagle Level participant, Justin Koff PGA, attended Clemson University PGA Golf Management and returned to The First Tee of Nassau County as the Program Director.
